Nerd in the Attic - Fundraiser Set

A week after the Craft Circle last year, we received the worst possible news anyone can receive. My husband, Robbert, had exhausted all treatment options and was entering the terminal phase of metastatic melanoma cancer. Our lives were turned upside down. We were given a little more time than we initially feared, and thanks to the lovely people around us, we were able to do some fun things during the last 6 weeks of his life. We also came into contact with the Wensambulance Oost-Nederland, and they provided us with a fantastic day at Apenheul. We had been visiting there regularly for 23 years with great pleasure. It became a day we will never forget!

Now, a year later, it is time for the Craft Circle again, and I am back. In 2020, I painted a colourway, Nerd in the Attic, as a playful nod during the Corona period, as I suddenly had a husband working from home who had created his workspace in the attic. Robbert worked in IT and was a real nerd.

I am bringing this colourway back now as a tribute to him. Together with a beautiful candle made by Kaarsj.es (colour at random), as a light in the darkness, this set is now for sale for 30 euros, with 5 euros from each set going to the Wensambulance Oost-Nederland.

This fundraising campaign starts during the Craft Circle and runs until July 13, the anniversary of Robbert's passing. On this day, I will announce the total amount and transfer it to the Wensambulance Oost-Nederland.

80% Superwash Merino - 20% Nylon
100 gram - 400 meter / 3.5oz - 437 yards

Colourful Soft Sock is one of my favourite bases, it's super soft and squishy! This yarn is perfect for everything, socks, garments, shawls, mittens, hats etc.

These yarns are superwash treated, so can be washed in the machine up to 30 degrees Celsius, though I recommend hand wash.
